Dressing

Radiata dressing grade is a slightly knottier grade of pine that is commonly used in furniture and shelving construction, where there is no need to use clear wood.

This is a sustainably grown New Zealand timber and is a very affordable option where a slightly knotty feature is desired. The knots that are allowed in dressing grade are small, tight knots. No loose knots, pith or wane is allowed. Dressing grade is the highest visual grade that has some small feature knots included, but is mostly clear wood.
